#AnglianAnswers: What is scrappage?

You’ve probably heard us throw the term around a lot over the last year, but what exactly is the Anglian scrappage scheme?

Our scrappage scheme involves helping you out, while helping out the environment at the same time. We’re giving a helping hand to the environment by recycling your old windows and doors, and helping you by giving you up to 40% off* plus up to £3,000* scrappage when you buy new ones.

Sound good? We think so too. To find out more, read on as we answer this week’s #AnglianAnswers: What is scrappage?

How does it work?

Recyclable uPVC window

The Anglian scrappage scheme is pretty simple. All you have to do is agree to let us recycle your old windows or doors, and instead of sending them straight to the landfill where they’ll rot and waste away, we’ll bring the materials back to our factory, where they’ll be sorted for recycling.

From there, your ex-materials will be reused when we make our new ones. This way, we’re effectively saving the energy it takes to make new products, as well as the materials. Less waste, less mess and more friendly to the environment. Oh, and more money in your pocket. Did we mention you’ll get up to 40% off* new windows and doors plus up to £3,000* scrappage when you take part in our scrappage scheme?

What materials can you recycle?

In short, just about anything. As part of our scrappage scheme, we’ll accept uPVC, aluminium and timber products. The best way to see if we’ll take your old materials is to get in touch and schedule for one of our design experts to come round and have a look at your home. They’ll also be able to let you know how much your new products will cost, as well as how much you’ll save.
