How to Use Laura Ashley to Create an Elegant Bathroom

We have covered how our expert bloggers and company’s are recommending using Laura Ashley products in our bedrooms and living rooms, so now we move onto the bathroom. In this article we have superb advice from bathroom experts Roper Rhodes, tile company Bathroom Ceramic Tile, blogger Jenny Taylor from Let’s Talk Mommy and Emma Martin from the Life at the Little Wood blog.

As a mum of three busy children, those ‘me-time’ moments at the end of the day are really precious.  When we were designing our bathroom I had in mind a little oasis, away from the hectic pace of the rest of our home.

We chose an extra deep bath tub and freestanding furniture to compliment the period feel of the house, and Laura Ashley towels and accessories just round off the look.  It feels like a little spa time at the end of the day’s activities – even if there are a few little visitors on occasion!

We used café style shutters on our windows as we look out onto open countryside, but had we been overlooked, I really love Anglian’s Laura Ashley decorative glass range too.  So many pretty designs to choose from to compliment a variety of schemes.

There’s nothing quite like taking a luxurious soak in an indulgent bath so it’s no surprise that a beautiful, freestanding bathtub tops many peoples’ bathroom wishlists. Perfect for injecting some hotel-style luxury into the bathroom, today’s freestanding baths come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials and can be used to create a sleek, contemporary vibe or add some period-style charm to your home.

Made from crisp white double-skinned acrylic with resin reinforcement, which is a tactile and high quality material that retains heat, the stunning new collection of five freestanding baths from the Laura Ashley Bathroom Collection will create a centerpiece in any bathroom. Chic and contemporary, the 1700mm-long Opus features organic curves for a luxurious bathing experience and looks stunning when teamed with the Lucca freestanding bath shower mixer and new modern Monograph furniture range.

Inspired by classic French design, the Fairfield double ended, roll top bath features gently sloping sides, which are perfect for a truly luxurious soak, while the Claremont slipper bathtub oozes traditional elegance. Both come with a choice of chrome, white or black feet and in two sizes, and are perfect partners for the classically styled, hand-painted furniture ranges within the Laura Ashley Bathroom Collection.

Most of my bathrooms are small but that doesn’t stop me from trying to add a bit of home décor in them. This is our bathroom with a tub in it, the rest have showers so I like to have numerous candles in it. There is nothing better than a soak in the tub with candles lit after a long day at work or screaming children at bedtime to relax you.

I have also added a white Laura Ashley soap dispenser in all my bathrooms and a handheld mirror. These lovely items have added a great shabby chic feel and comfort to our bathroom. I think I just need to add a glass vase of fresh flowers in the window and my bathroom would feel complete.

Why am I so in love with Laura Ashley?

You can create amazing one of kind rooms with the amazing amount of various patterns, styles, and designs they offer. They have so many options no one is bound to pick the same piece combination as you. They have amazing sales and promotions too. We have purchased all our Laura Ashley items in the sale or using discount promotions they run all the time. Most important it’s a brand I know what I am getting, I trust it, and I will keep on buying it because it lasts.

With grey being the new neutral, channel this year’s hottest colour with Wicker in Dove Grey or Charcoal from the Laura Ashley Heritage Collection. Highly versatile, Wicker can be used on both walls and floors, making it a firm favourite if you’re looking to create a feature wall or standout floor with an understated feel. Wicker can be toned with bold home accessories or colourful pieces of furniture for maximum impact.
